Based on what I see from the DA14 fitted to an MX body, it will be quite difficult to use a DA14 and get edge/corner quality on any format with a maximum offset from the optical axis larger than about 17mm, for about a 24x24mm format max. I suspect the same would be true of the DA12-24.
