I bought a cheap Sirius 135mm PK-A lens on eBay, when I attempted to
fit it to my MZ-5n it jammed in a position about 30 degrees short of
where it should be. Now it won't come out. It knocks as though
something has locked. On close inspection it turns out to be a PK-R
Ricoh-fitting.
So, does anyone know how to get a cheap PK-R lens out of a PK-AF2
mount? Without destroying the camera?
As I recall, Tom Vanveen used a hacksaw to get a PKR lens off Tanya's
*ist D.... not for the faint of heart.
I have a friend - she used to lurk here, I even shot her wedding last
year - who had a lens she got off EBay stick on her ZX-5.
I still recall her cry for help.
I ended up using a thin feeler gauge and twisting and orienting the
camera at all angles. I kept chatting with her as I worked and let her
know that I would get it off somehow - though I had no idea how.
I do not remember how long it took, but I did get it to come loose. Whew!
