I met L. Ron at a SF convention in 1973. Does that count?
I doubt it.
BTW, in case you folks didn't know, ol' L. Ron was an avid
photographer. Since his followers supported him in a very lavish
lifestyle he owned a large collection of Linhof, Rollei, Zeiss,
Hasselblad, etc. Only the finest. The Scientologists have published
a book about his photography that includes a bunch of his photos
(average in quality) and photos of his extensive collection of gear.
They sent me a copy some time ago. I couldn't help but think while
looking through it what a really good photographer could have done
with all of that stuff.
You know, maybe we should form a religion and get rich.
"Pentaxology", "Asahiology", "Takumarism". Whaddaya think?
