Good question. I'm not really sure what the purpose of the office is. It is at ground level beneath the National Theatre on London's South Bank. The architectural style there is called 'neo-brutalist', which is bare, grey concrete. The buildings are constructed on several levels with walkways. Somebody has put this little office, in the architectural style I call 'neo-toilet', beneath one of the walkways. The tiles, pavement, geometry, absence of sunlight, dark recesses and so on are rather grim, although paradoxically the South Bank is mostly a pleasant place to be. I think the man may be monitoring surveillance cameras. Bob
