Lying in the mud is to avoid scaring the birds, not for any (artistic)
photographic reason. Still, live preview might make it even easier to
keep your head down.
Ah, thanks for enlightening me. I never had the inclination to photograph
birds, so I assumed Christian was after a low point-of-view.
