I suspect that our definitions of cheap and available differ somewhat.

Last Dec an A*200/4 sold on eBay for $1,343.43 
Last June two FA80-200/2.8 sold on eBay for  $1,563.35 and $1,149.99 
Last June an FA*200/4 sold on eBay for $1,132.00
Last May an A*200/4 sold on eBay for $1,125.00
Last April an FA*200/4 sold on eBay for $1,225.92
Last April an A*200/4 sold on eBay for $1,187.29
Last March an FA80-200/2.8 sold on eBay for $1,081.35

Cheap to some but hardly common given the volume of Pentax gear that filters 
though eBay.
