Tallest building, But not largest by a number of significant measures...

Even tallest can be disputed...

Still impressive.

Yesterday I visited the 101 building (largest in the world they say) in Taipei (business trip).

In the top of the building there is a huge heavy ball mounted on dempers, this system has to absorb the energy if the whole tower tends to come to resonance in case of earthshakes. There was a discovery channel team making video recordings with a huge 8mm fisheye lens (about 15cm I guess!), I asked if I could fit the lens on my camera to take some pictures.
They said, it was a Nikon lens but the mount was modified.
I was standing next to the camera and of course with the 8mm, a full 180 degrees I was in the picture.
Than they asked me to bent over and pretend to make pictures of the ball.
I did and made sure that the PENTAX logo on my DS was showing.

So if you watch the DISCOVERY program on the 101 building of Taipei: the guy with the DS is me!

Cool.
