If it did, then wouldn't the K and M lenses give different readings on any

Go: Technology/Kmount evolution/KA to get an explanation of why the
diaphragm actuator changed and why the lenses are compatible.

This is the first time I've heard that. I can't see any difference
between the mounts on the K and M designated lenses. Did
Matanle describe the differences?
Didn't the working of the aperture lever (from movement related to radius
to movement related to area, or the other way around) chenge then?

It's from the 28th January and it's by Ivor Matanle.
In it he states that the M-series lenses had a mount
that was slightly different from the
original K-series to make them fully compatible with the ME.
I thought the
M-series was designed to be more compact (M for miniature?)
but the mount
was identical. It's not as if the ME had anything the K2 didn't, if
anything it was the other way round. I suspect I'm mistaken,
after all Ivor is paid to write about these things. Does any of you
know?
