The file size constraints that we have for pug images were mostly a function of server space/bandwidth, unless file space and bandwidth limits changed for the better for our page hosts then we can't expect more unfortunately. Remember it's a service provided for free without the benefit of advertising revenue or subscriptions like most other photo hosting sites.
