This has been a month or two ago, but I don't recall
bragging about this one to the list, so I guess I'll
blather about it now. :)

Saw a "35 mm Pentax camera and two lenses" listed in
the P&S category. Clicked on it, and it's obviously an
ME SE (M-series body with brown leatherette). Had two
zoom lenses of some sort in the auction, but I also
noticed a little bitty tiny lens in the picture - I
emailed the seller to ask about it, and sure enough
it's the M40/2.8 pancake lens. I negotiated a better
shipping rate with the seller (listing quoted an
obscene amount) and still ended up paying less
shipping than I thought. So all in all, I paid under
$30 shipped for the following:

ME SE body, _very_ clean, seems to work except frame
counter died after the first test roll
M40/2.8 with caps and box
Soligor 28-80, already resold it on ebay, got back
nearly 2/3 what I paid for the lot.
Sigma 80-200 with a foggy element inside
Vivitar 283 flash and sync cord
Pile of misc filters, paperwork, accessories, etc.

I love this little ME SE. It's just in such nice
shape, and I'm rather partial to the brown
leatherette. I can't help but wonder what a 43mm Ltd.
would look like on it.

I am curious about fixing the counter though. At
first, it jammed past the "36", but careful prodding
where the back closes and enables the counter allowed
it to spin back to the start, but now it acts like it
wants to advance, but doesn't catch and falls back to
the start.
