Very nice Bill, the tonality is wonderful.
I also like the simpler composition and her
expression, which seems a bit friendlier in this shot.
Was this on the CN film?
Perhaps I'll have to try it again and quit smelling up
the kitchen with BW chemistry. ;-)
Is the window a real one or a studio setup?
I've been thinking of building a light panel like
this for portraits, our winter sunlight has been
pretty infrequent this year.

Hi Don, thanks for commenting.
As I mentioned in a previous post, this shoot was modeled after a project called "Naked in the House" (google it, it's an interesting concept). This was shot on an old roll of Kodak CN film, whch has been discontinued for several years now, and scanned on my digital minilab at work. I did four scans of the film, ranging from very light to very dark, and combined the ones I wanted to use in Photoshop. I think this is how I managed to keep both a moody tonality along with some detail. The window is the front window of the house we were working in. It belongs to a photographer, and he put a frosted coating on the glass for use as a light source for his work.
