I would want a screen that has a split prism that assists in the focusing,
especially in circumstances where lighting is poor, - e.i. in
clubs. I usually focus manually, and more recently have decided that my
older f4 Pentax lenses are better than the autofocus lenses
that I have in my possession.
We call em split image screens.
Generally, their usefulness diminishes as light levels deteriorate.
Look for a screen designed for super telephoto use, they tend to have a less
agressive nap, and so transmit more light to the finder.
