I had issues last summer shooting baseball where I repeatedly had to wait for the camera's buffer to empty itself out -- should the ability to write to the card faster not cause the buffer to empty more quickly?
Of course, I was using a D, not a DS. I don't offhand know what the buffer or write speed of the D are like, but I'm assuming they're not as good as the DS or DS2. Once April rolls around I can let you know if it makes a difference in that real-world situation -- my DS should arrive Wednesday-ish, but Opening Day is still a couple of months away. -Aaron -----Original Message----- From: Godfrey DiGiorgi Subj: Re: istDS or DS2 Date: Sun Feb 5, 2006 2:47 pm Size: 416 bytes To: [email protected] The DS2 can theoretically perform writes as fast as a 133x SD card can accept, but the buffer sizes, etc, have not changed. I doubt that you'd see all that much difference between them in practical terms. Godfrey
