I know this is not Pentax related directly, so it might be labeled OT, but we've discussed photographer rights many times so I thought many here would be interested:
>From a comment to my photoblog: -- Great shot. I love checking your site and being envious of your ability and accessibility to shooting street shots. I recently learned that here in Quebec, Canada, it's illegal. Check this out: http://www.montrealmirror.com/2005/080405/news1.html -- I didn't know about this, and I wonder how enforced it is. If it is like in France, you could say it is rarely enforced. Peter Turnley, who published "Parisians", says that it is a non issue, and that he openly does it. He's been getting away with it for more than 20 years and a couple of books published. But in any case, the fact that such issues make the papers is worrying. j -- Juan Buhler Water Molotov: http://photoblog.jbuhler.com Slippery Slope: http://color.jbuhler.com
