It's obvious that Pentax will be getting out of the camera business and concentrating on optics. This will not be the demise of Pentax, but the demise of Pentax designed and manufactured SLR bodies. Soon Pentax will be primarily an aftermarket lens manufacturer, like Tokina and Sigma, and a marketer of Pentax-branded P&S cameras made by others.
