I've been trying to figure out the jammed zoom on my old 28-105 Power
Zoom lens.
I dug in a bit just to see where the cams and interlocks are, and
decided that I was in deeper than I want to be while working at my
desk in the office!
So far, so good. I'm putting it back together and the part that has
me going nuts is how to get the aperture selection ring back on while
keeping the little detent ball-bearing in place.
How do you get that dang little ball to sit there while sliding the
ring down over it? I'm mystified. There's got to be a trick - is
there?
Or is it all about patience and having 5 hands?
