I had the 31, sold it because I didn't like the awkward fixed lens hood
and bulk/weight. I bought the FA35/2 and find it excellent. I'd
recommend the 35/2 to anyone as a near perfect normal for the digital
bodies.
Never been interested in the FA24/2 due to the size/weight as well as
the many varied reports on its problems with the digital bodies.
I have both the FA 35 2.0 and FA 24 2.0. Both are excellent lenses, and
I don't find the FA 24 too bulky. It is a metla bodied lens, very well
made. The only (intermitent) problem that I see in the FA 24 in digital
is that it can sometimes show chromatic aberrations. It only shows in
high contrast backlit scenes, and it is correctable in post processing.
I thought of selling the lens because of this, but it isn't a problem
most of the time, and the lens is great both in film and digital most of
the time.
