I've just finished hanging an online one-man exhibit of sorts here:
http://www.fred.net/essmo/marrc/2001/j5-2001.html
I'm offering it to the list for general amusement,
constructive criticism, and especially as a kind of
progress report and thank-you to all who responded
to a thread I started back in April, called "The Mental Game."
As I've been climbing the learning curve, your words
posted here have been incredibly helpful.
This set of pages is a link off the news section of
the Mid-Atlantic Roadracing Club's website. (MARRC is an
organization of motorcycle roadracers and corner workers,
some of whom are also into cars to various degrees.) The
pages are basically journalistic, thus a bit wordy, but
are fairly typical of the bike race reports on MARRC's site.
Except for a Sigma 35-70/2.8-4 zoom (sweet little lens, BTW,
now dying of fungus), all gear was Pentax:
* later LX with winder and FA-1, early K1000
* 70-210 f/4 SMC-A, 300 f/4 SMC-M*, 400 f/2.8 SMC-A* ED(IF)
* AF400T used for fill in some paddock shots
Everything was scanned from 4x6 on an HP 6300C and tweaked
with Paint Shop Pro 6. (Man, I've got a lot of learning curves
to climb!)
Enjoy! (Comments welcome)
