Buy a second-hand 31mm on Ebay. The difference will then be much less.

You'll always have that nagging feeling if you buy the 28!

I may have been thinking of another one of the Ltd series, but i was a bit suprised at the
price when i
started looking this weekend.

I was looking back at some earlier pictures using the A28 and A50, prior to my AF zoom
aquasitions,
and i felt the pictures looked better and were sharper. I thought, what the hell, for 3
more mm lets look
at the 31 ltd. The price just has me sidestepping at this point.

I'm hoping some one who has used the A28 and the AF 28 will tell me they are both very
good and
worth the money.

Let's say after you waded through a batch of opinions from the
"troops", you had access to both lenses to enable you to run your own
tests.
After eye blurring, mostly inconclusive comparisons, (slides or
digital?) you finally decided that the 31 were slightly "better".
How much is the "better" worth in terms of the personal satisfaction
derived from owning one? Would you forever feel deprived and your work
compromised without it?
Obviously, these are the things that only you can weigh, but my guess
is that you would never be disappointed with the images produced by the
31.
