Alas, silliness comes in waves here. Sometimes Mafud is the focus,
sometimes someone else. And sometimes it is a big, group effort, with
just about everyone making asses of themselves. (Except me, of course.

Best to ignore it, wait for it to pass and hope it goes away soon. That
usually happens -- although the latest silliness exercise, going under
the label "professional", does seem unending as well as reaching epic
proportions and plumbing new depths of something or other.
If the current rubbish flow goes on for too much longer, crowding out
more interesting things, you might consider what I do occasionally:
leave the list for a while, then return and see if folks are back on
their medication, tempers have cooled down, etc. If so, stick around, it
can become quite informative.
