That just indicates that directory listings are turned off on the server (a common security feature), Domain Wizardry should be able to quickly and easily turn that on.

Looks like i need an index or password, or make a proper web page of them..

If i type in http://www.caughtinmotion.com/paw and hit enter, i get a page
saying i'm not
authorized to veiw the content.

Thanks

Dave > The default activity of most web servers is to allow http directory
viewing. You do this by using a URL naming the path to the directory. For instance, if you have a directory named "20060201-pictures" on a served volume named www.mypix.net, you'd get to it with the URL
  http://www.mypix.net/20060201-pictures/
presuming that the directory was set up such that it didn't need password authentication. By default, most webserver are also configured to load a file named 'index.htm' or 'index.html' if a directory path like the above is supplied. So if one of these files is present in the directory, it will display whatever you've got in that file rather than the directory listing.

Some web servers explicitly turn off http directory listing, like mac.com. If you want to have access to such directories from a browser, you're out of luck unless you create an index.htm[l] file with a listing of directory contents as URLs to click on. The only other way in is to use FTP or other remote access tools to manipulate the file system, presuming that the webserved volume has those services turned on.

                Hi All.

I have a sub folder called Paw, on my www dot caughtinmotion dot com site. These photos
are not on
a web page with index, but just a collection in the folder. Is there any way i can see the
files from a
browser if i want to remember what i called a photo. I seem to remember sometimes a page
is url'd and
you get a white" parent page" and individual links to photos.

Any way this can be done or is this for photos set up in web page form like BBpro or Adobe
web
Gallery.
If i want to remember a photo so i can send a link, from work, i cannot do it as i dont
have an FTP here
to look into the site.
