It reminds me of a story about Steven Hawkin (maybe from his book, "a breif 
history of time"?).

He was invited to a conference on cosmology in the Vatican, and being liberal 
the Pope had stated that they could discuss anything except the creation of the 
univers.  Little did they know that Hawkins lecture suggested that the univers 
had no beginning...
