That used to be what physicists believed. General relativity and Newtonian physics applied on a macroscopic level, and quantum physics only applied on a subatomic level. Recently that conceit has been challenged, and some new experiments are showing that quantum physics does apply on a macroscopic scale after all. I think religious mystics have known that all along. The universe does not abide by human logic.
