Yesw, that would be nice. The MZ-S is a lovely camera. Nice ergonomics too.

Ah, the MZ-S body. It's so sad that I discovered that body as the era  
of film cameras became eclipsed. I'd have sold my ancient Nikons five  
years earlier if it were available in 1995. I would love a pro-spec  
Pentax DSLR built on that body, like the K-1 shown, although I'd  
prefer if it were the size of the MZ-S with the battery grip being  
optional. Whether it was a 24x36 or 16x24 sensor would not matter,  
although to be honest if it met the same image quality performance  
and resolution as today's Nikon D200 or D2x with a 16x24mm sensor I'd  
prefer it. I like the compactness and speed of the shorter focal  
length lenses and find the DA14/2.8 provides as much field of view as  
I use.

I wait patiently for the high-end *ist D follow-on in the Fall. ;-)
