I forgot to mention that there was a 2x attached in front of the DS.
The problem with the DS is the grip area which sticks out, preventing a
close-up mounting of the body. I'd have to create a very customized back
in order to accomodate the grip and so move the body in closer.

A 135mm lens seems to be the widest I can go with the DS. I'm going to
try the 90mm Ilex with a film body sometime soon. Even if it works
fine straight-on, the Ilex has a large rear cell (like a Super Angulon)
making it difficult to tilt. A 90mm Angulon or Ektar or other triplet
would probably work a lot better. And, really, any 6x9 lens would
obviously have enough coverage to allow for the needed movements.

For those who shoot landscapes, longer lenses are often very usable
and desirable -- sometimes it's nice to compress distant mountains just
a bit. Using a 135mm would help with these shots. One could likewise
tilt in the back bottom to affect near item magnification.

It's a usable feature and may have its place. Obviously it's optically not
on par with 135 format lenses, but it's good enough for many solutions.
