Let' not make more work for the list guy. I enjoy OT, but this thread has ceased to be entertaining. Everyone participating, and I do mean EVERYONE, is rehashing the same positions. We now all know what you think. Give it a rest.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I see this list as a few friends talking over
coffee or beer.

If a lot of people complain, how about setting up a parallel "forum"
list? People who don't care about OT topics need not subscribe. Those
who care sometimes can have it automatically go to a special folder.
Those of us who like it the way it is now can have messages from pdml
and pdml-forum go to the same folder.

It has worked great for other lists.

Wait! Lewis... Lewis. You're going to miss out on the fun!

This list is rare. We disagree with each other often, get OT often, and speak of so many things other than photography and Pentax. We get angry
with each other and then reflect. We even hate that we do it ourselves
sometimes. We're a microcosm.

Unlike other lists, we're not stifled until it's self-imposed. You gotta
take the bad with the good.

. So, who's "intolerant"?

I am. I am intolerant of photo lab operators who fancy themselves as
Minister of Interpretation of the history of the world. I am intolerant of half-educated fools (Mishka comes to mind). I am intolerant of those who wrap entire populations into the same cloth for the purpose of condemning them. I am intolerant of the imagined political and historic expertise claimed by a collection of photographers. That said, I am intolerant of the PDML, a cancer which will be removed from my computer in a few moments.
