"After" is what WILL happen between this very minute and in the foreseeable future. "After" can also pertain to a period of time between any given time marker (e.g. Tuesday, September 8th, 1844) and whatever followed that point in time.

It doesn't have to be complicated or esoteric.

Those physicists who believe that time doesn't exist obviously can't believe in a big bang. Of necessity, they must believe in a steady- state universe existing in a perpetual now.

This isn't complicated or esoteric. In fact, part of its appeal is its very simplicity.
