Hello Godfrey, I certainly agree about the tripod. I have three of them, but when dragging the kids around, I don't have the luxury of either time or extra hands to deal with it. But, I do use one whenever I can.
Both you and Bill have mentioned a B&W rendering - I think that I shall make a stab at it and see how it fares.
