I occasionally photograph motorcycle road racing from close quarters  
at the Isle of Man races. While the speed of the DS is less than my  
other DSLR, I don't find it any problem.

For me, capturing the right moments in such events is more a matter  
of observation and timing than camera speed. Camera speed is  
important, but only up to a point.
