Perl has a perfectly usable DB API, and works very well with MySQL.
I have several examples.
But before you get too excited, you might want to take a closer
look at the MySQL licensing conditions. They are even more anti-
Microsoft than you are; MySQL is free on Unix, but costs money if
you want to use it on a Microsoft operating system.
