It might be that the LX meter is designed in a way that make AEL impossible but it is 
nevertheless fyllu possible to combine spot metering and OTF. In fact, the Olympus 
OM-4 has both OTF and spot metering; it can store up to 8 readings. I see no reason 
why an updated LX can't do the same.
