I have the A 28 f2.8. Here is a link to a picture shot my my friend with it 
last weekend.
He's not used to 
mf lenses, but it still came out decently sharp.

Its a pretty good lens , and i used it primarily on the istD for 5-6 months 
until i bought
some AF lenses. It 
has produced nice clear images.I'm still thinking of adding the FA version of 
the 28.
