Hi!

How the heck to you pronouce *ist? Pentax is easy to say, *ist isn't 
(I normally just call it an ist, but that asterisk is a little confusing)

I always thought that * was pronounced "Star".  So Star-ist.  I know it 
sounds a bit like a can of tuna....

Bob, each time I see a word with * symbol in it, I automatically feel 
like I am programming again... One of the ways to treat this symbol is 
not to pronounce it at all...

There is by the way Russian specific way in which I sometimes pronounce 
the name of my camera, but it shall be left private partly because it is 
very similar to certain obscenity.
