At this stage, we had either the choice of being told nothing or being
shown what is coming.  Of the two I am far less annoyed by being shown
a roadmap.  Their speed of development seems to be mirroring Nikon.
The D100 came out and then 6-12 months after that the *istD came out
with similar functionality.  3 years later Nikon replaced the D100
with the D200.  It looks like Pentax will do about the same thing.

To be honest, I'm not quite ready financially to buy the new body.  If
it was able to be purchased today, I couldn't buy it.
