It's a Yahoo group, Glen. The group owner can do whatever he wants. Yahoo is for yahoos, anyway. The real importance of most Yahoo groups is about that of a pimple on a gnat's ass.
If it bothers you so much, start your own Yahoo group, invite this guy to subscribe, and then boot him out.
