Well, without getting into violence which I suppose most "artists" would try to avoid. I probably would have complied to erase the fotos of her child and then just walked away. If she pursued me or held me back physically I would have asked her to call the police immediately or to just drop it.
1. She has no reason to know your identity or to even to judge your actions. If she grabs you she could be charged with assault. 2. And even more scary - do the police actually know the law sufficiently? 3. EVEN WORSE. Just read somewhere that Volkswagon sued an artist for copyright infringement for a satirical image he drew and had published 20 years ago of a "Beetle". If I knew that the parent of a child was present, I'd ask the parent's permission before taking a photo of the child.
