Jaume, I haven't been to my ancestors' region (I still have some aunts and uncles there) of Bretagne/Brittany in a long time and actually am planning to take my wife there next year. Here is a short list of sites I can recommend: Mont Saint Michel (never tell a Breton that it is in Normandy) Saint Malo: imposing fortress and nice harbor Roscoff: cliffs, village Carhaix: village, church Pointe des Espagnols Pointe de Dinan Pointe du Raz : these are capes: picture huge waves crashing against rock cliffs topped by moors. Quite touristy in August except early in morning. To go to pointe des Espagnols (view of Brest's bay) you cross a military base for Marine Commandos. Don't be scared they are not as mean as they look and their machine guns are loaded with blanks. The views are worth it, less touristy. Concarneau: old harbor with a medieval city on an island linked by a bridge. It feels like you've travelled in time You should also go inland in the Finistere (the westernmost part) Very picturesque farms, hills and fields with hedgerows.
