From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: OT... WAY OT re:return address Posting with my real email address would send mail back to me, correct? And if I ~were~ an Internet crawling, porno site knuckle-dragger, especially a ~married~ Internet porn-site knuckle dragger, do ~you~, Scoot, believe I'd use my real (permanent) email address as a return? As for the intellectually stunted post involved: had anyone here (including you) ~really~ noticed that I ~never~, ~ever~ sign anything but "Mafud"? Mafud =========================== Mafud old man.... I couldn't really give a gnat's patootie what you do.. or say.. Just as long as no neo-Black Muslim-ish blather & invectives ends up pointed in MY direction. (When folks act like reasoning human beings I'll converse with them... when they rant, they end up in the recycle bin.) I just wanted to point out that: Considering I spend over 300hrs a month on the internet (with nary a porno site to be found in MY history box, BTW)... The answer is: NO... not all (or even 2%) of postings would end up back in YOUR box. Just replies from anyone/anything that tried to USE that bogus address... which just "happens" to be a valid address for you. Since it only takes @ 4 lines of JAVA to sniff out anyone's E-mail address, 80% of the time I leave MY return address set as [EMAIL PROTECTED] (let the buggers SPAM that address!!). I have to change it back to a REAL (or VALID) address when posting to list's such as this because the address is (in effect) the password the mail-deamon "recognizes". I just wanted my 2-cents added before this becomes another noxiously long thread like the [Pro vs Amature] topic. (Which BTW gets automaticly filtered & deleted.... as are the posts from ~certain~ individuals and/or certain "trigger" words). I see now that you've had to become more familiar with filters as well.
