My 1705 CRT is getting a bit long in the tooth and takes up to much
acreage on my 'desk'. I have to eBay a shed-load of stuff, I might just
squeeze in a used LCD screen if I can sneek it past security ;-)

You've still got a 1705? Lucky man, mine died of the chronic flyback
failure a few years ago(notorious problem with 1705's). For a 17" it was
pretty nice.
