The first one of some 1800 digital pics shot with the DS during the
carnival weekend in Boulogne sur Mer, Northern France.  

The original pic has a very strong orange cast due to the sodium vapour
lighting of the harbour. Played around to get a more neutral tone and
eventually decided I like the B/W version better, anyway.

This is one of three shots originally taken for a DRI sandwich but
luckily it works rather nicely on its own. 

After years of medium format night photography I stil find that the most
irritating thing about digital APS-C sensors (and 35 mm film as well)
are those stars around the various lightsources in the frame. Not much
of a problem in this one but a terrible nuisance in others which might
otherwise have turned out great.
