Only SMC Taks act like you wrote. Super-Taks can be switched between Auto
and Man all the time. Your lenses are fine.

I've got 2 Super Taks (50/1.4 & 24/3.5).
On both the Auto/Man switch moves freely between the two positions.
1) IIRC, that's not right. It should only move to Auto when on a body.
2) Is it easily repaired?
