I have the DA14/2.8, FA35/2, FA50/1.4 and FA135/2.8 IF. And I've used the FA28/2.8 and FA20/2.8 All are very fine performers.

I've also had the FA31 and use the FA77 Limiteds .. again, very very fine performers.

For my photography, I find that I spend most of my time with the DA14/2.8, FA20-35/4, FA35/2 and FA50/1.4, and out of them the 20-35 is probably the most used choice. The 20-35 is a very very good zoom and covers my most used range of focal lengths with near-prime lens quality, in one compact and light-weight package. I switch to the 35/2 for when a faster normal lens is important.

I'd recommend an excellent starting point for a Pentax kit as the 20-35 plus a 50/1.4. You can do an awful lot of photography with just those two lenses.

can anyone recommend a line of prime lenses? Is the new Pentax 14 f/ 2.8 worth the money, maybe some MTF available somewhere (which I missed)? I am doing mostly travel photography and was thinking about Pentax SMC-FA 20 f/2,8 + Pentax SMC-FA 43 f/1.9 Limited as beginning. Any opinions?
