Very few people actually realizes, that all the things we photograph (with

All they do is REFLECT SOME of the light that hits them ;-)
Well, no. If everything was, in fact, black, then they wouldn't reflect any
light at all.
If they had no colour, they would not reflect colour.
When you realize this - that's the time to START learning about colour
profiles, printing, calibrating etc.
If you think everything is black, you need to do a lot more than just learn
about colour profiles, printing, calibrating etc.
