I rarely disagree with Ken, but I must here. To me, the background highlight adds a sense of the surreal. It's another element that makes it all more interesting.

Sorry if you've come here expecting to see a carousing human who
spends much of his life underground - this is a photo of a bird.

This little guy was not long out of the nest and was still a bit
mystified by the world outside. The parents were not far away
screeching at me while their offspring posed for the camera.
