Which is why I bought an old PDA that uses both compact flash and secure digital cards. I can switch the CF out of the camera and view the images on the 3.8" screen. Not a laptop, but better than the 1.8" on the camera. However, the seller did not include the companion cd, and the arcsoft photobase program was not on the PDA (bummer), anyone got a freeware recommendation for photo viewing software? Will that AcidImage run on a pocketpc?

BTW the "new" cf-gps works well. I was actually able to track my trip uptown this afternoon (hey, I got it this morning, so it wasn't that hard to install). I am using it with MS S&T 2005 (hey, its cheap).

AcidImage - JPEG viewer software. Zoom, rotate, slide shows, etc. FAR far better than the built in picture viewer software. Can handle a 6M or 10M JPEG file very very quickly. (No RAW support, though.)

I've got a similar app on my "real" Pocket PC. But I don't care how
well it can view RAW files (yet) because I don't have compatible media
between any camera and Pocket PC. Maybe once I get a camera that uses
SD I'll be a little more interested in that. There again, I'd really
like a 640x480 display for looking at images.
