RIck,

I might equally say THANK YOU!!! for being involved in Children's Cancer Research. I've lost several relatives to cancer, and I only see this as the least that I can do. We need more money to get to the 85% mark, and I'd like to see within my lifetime 95% of childhood cancers have cures. I expect that as our knowledge of chilhood cancers increases, so does our knowledge of adult cancers?

As far as the students are concerned, they too see the value. Over 3/4 of our school paid $3 to come see this event (every dime went to St. Baldrick's). My own students bought my beard ($160 and change), and nearly 45 other students had their heads shaved also. What really touched me the most was the 10 young ladies that donated nearly a foot of their hair so that it could be made into a wig! These are 17 & 18 yr. old girls who know that prom is right around the corner . . . . this is quite a sacrifice for them.

THANK YOU!!! The U.S. Government has cut our funding
about 30% in the last two years, and the efforts of
you and your students are very, very important.

Hello all,

I would like to thank each and every one of you
for helping to
make Tinely Park High School's St. Baldrick's event
a hair-raizing
success! I was able to collect just over $520
myself, and the school
had raised well over $6,000 at the time of the
event!

Now what you really wanted to see, the before,
during and after
shots!

Thanks again, your generosity speaks greatly of your
character!

P.S. My students collected over $160, so I did wind
up shaving my
beard . . .
