Yeah, but will it be a Sony? Surely not Konica Minolta.
Film camera part of Konica Minolta was laid to rest and digital camera
assets sold to Sony - not much left, photographically.

I agree. I've been hearing some rumors about the new pro camera,
originally to have been called Maxxum 9D. I'm not sure if Sony will keep
or drop the Maxxum name. But whatever they call the camera I expect it
to be a very serious contender.
