i can see that it's out of focus. i am wondering why:
-- the boy was smack in the middle of the frame,
-- focus set to continuos (AF-C).
-- the lens DA16-45.
-- *istdL
is it the case of AF being too slow or was i doing
something wrong?
would something like canon or nikon handle it better?
Continuous AF will allow the shutter to fire when the image is out of focus.
I'm not sure if or by how much better Nikon and Canon AF works, it would
surprise me not at all to find that a D70 would out AF a Pentax.
As an aside;
A friend of mine just returned a D70 for AF problems. He had been conflicted
when he bought, deciding between the D70 and the Canon D Rebel, and so
decided to take a Rebel instead. I couldn't talk him into a Pentax.
Too bad, he needs a good viewfinder more than he needs rocket fast
performance.
