Seat belts save more than lives. Shoulder bruises heal a lot faster than cracked heads. At young ages, our daughters were passengers in a car that was involved in an accident (it was hit by a telephone pole). With their belts on, they had almost no bruises. The unbelted driver had to learn to practice dentistry while seated.
