I spent a lot of time looking at this image yesterday, trying to figure out
why the composition works so well. I still haven't got the whole answer, but
Frank is onto something.
Another key factor is the way the guy divides the frame in two. The two
halves have different qualities, but the halves still "connect". It's also
something about balance, and about the light. It sets a reflecting
(peaceful) mood.
